Daniel (Biblical book)
From A Storehouse of Knowledge
(Redirected from Book of Daniel)
The Book of Daniel is a book in the Old Testament that tells the story of Daniel, a statesman and prophet who lived at the time of the Babylonian exile. It is grouped with the major prophets, even though it is very different in style from the other books in that group: much of the book contains a narrative of the events of Daniel's life, rather than making prophecies about events to come (although there are some of those as well).
Parts of the Book of Daniel are apocryphal and not included in many Bibles. These include the story of the destruction of Bel and the Dragon.
