Flag of Canada

Canada is a parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy in the northernmost half of North America. It is the second-largest country in the world by area, after Russia. Spanning from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, and from the border with the United States of America to the Arctic Ocean, the country consists of ten provinces and three territories. Its capital, Ottawa, is located in the province of Ontario. A current estimate of Canada's population is roughly 33 million, making it one of the least densely populated countries in the world. Its motto is the Latin phrase A Mari Usque Ad Mare ("From Sea to Sea"), which is based on Psalm 72:8 of the Bible.

Canada's current Prime Minister is the Right Honourable Stephen Harper of the Conservative Party.
