Epistle of Jude

The Epistle of Jude is one of the letters included in the New Testament. It is usually placed last among the epistles, making it the penultimate book of the Bible before Revelation. It is one of the shorter letters included, and consists of just one chapter divided into 25 verses.
Jude introduces itself as being from "Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James"; the James alluded to may be one of the Apostles or James the brother of Jesus. The letter is addressed to all Christians, and is mainly a denunciation of wicked men within the church, and a call to persevere in adversity. For this reason the book's author is known as the patron saint of lost causes, although the cause actually referred to in the letter (that of doing God's work) is by definition not a lost cause.
