From A Storehouse of Knowledge
(Redirected from Exodus)
Etymology:
"Exodus" is from the Greek εκ for "from" and οδος for "journey".Exodus is the second book of the Old Testament. It records the history of the Israelites from their days of slavery in Egypt up to the delivery of the Ten Commandments and the rest of the Law on Mount Sinai. It is focused in part on the life of Moses, from his discovery as a baby hidden in a floating reed basket to his assumption of leadership of his people under the guidance of God, who appears to him several times in the book.
