Genetics
From A Storehouse of Knowledge
Genetics is a branch of biology that deals with heredity and genetic variations[1].
DNA
DNA, or DeoxyriboNucleic Acid is a genetic "code" for all living organisms. DNA is composed of four nucleotide bases: Adenine, Guanine, Thymine and Ctyosine. These are often abbreviated to A, G, T and C. These nucleotide bases form the "rung" of the ladder in the double helix shape in which DNA is formed.[2]
Chromosomes
Chromosomes are double helix structures of DNA. They are located at the nucleus of cells.[2]
