Of Pandas and People
From A Storehouse of Knowledge
Of Pandas and People was a textbook developed in the 1980s intended to teach the evidence for design in living things to schoolchildren. The book was used as evidence in the case of Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District.
The first draft of the book was produced under the working title Creation Biology Textbook Supplements[1]. In 1987 after the Edwards v. Aguillard case references to "creation" and "creationist" in the drafts were replaced with the terms "intelligent design" and "design proponents", except in one case where "creationists" was accidentally changed to "cdesign proponentsists".[2] This has led evolutionists to jokingly refer to "cdesign proponentsists" as a transitional form between creationists and design proponents.
