Proverbs
From A Storehouse of Knowledge
Proverbs is a book in the Old Testament. As the name suggests, it takes the form of a list of proverbs giving advice about various subjects, such as justice, marriage and the importance of wisdom.
The authorship of the book is traditionally ascribed to Solomon, although this information is not present in the book itself. Proverbs is grouped with the wisdom literature, which includes two other books often credited to Solomon, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs.
