Barack Hussein Obama II (born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu) is the 44th President of the United States, and the first black American to be elected to the office. He previously served one term as the junior Senator from Illinois (2004-2008) and three terms as Illinois State Senator (1997-2004).

His two most noteworthy acts as president were the stimulus package meant to help the US economy recover from the 2008 economic crisis and the Affordable Care Act which reformed the US health care system.

He has been criticised for, among other things, supporting abortion and infanticide,[1] as well as funding embryonic stem cell research while cutting funding for adult stem cell research.[2] He has also been criticized for his economic policies, which are socialistic in nature.
