Brandy

Brandy is a distilled spirit produced from fermented fruit, most typically grapes. Brandy produced from fruit other than grapes is often referred to by the French term eaux-de-vie, especially if it is unaged. Calvados is an oak-aged brandy produced in Normandy from apples and optionally pears.
