Comoros is an island country off the east coast of Africa. The capital and largest city is Moroni. As of July 2013, the population was estimated at 752,288.
The islands of Comoros are located in the western Indian Ocean, to the east of Mozambique and to the northwest of Madagascar.
A majority of the population is Sunni Muslim.
Languages include French, Arabic and Comorian (related to Swahili).
