Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop (カウボーイビバップ, Kaubōi Bibappu) is a 26 episode sci-fi anime series directed by Shinichirō Watanabe. It originally aired on Japanese TV from April 3, 1998, to April 23, 1999 and an English dub was released in North America in 2000.

One of its most remarkable features is its soundtrack, a collection of jazz and blues music composed by Yoko Kanno, which has been voted one of the top 10 anime soundtracks of all time. [1]

The story of Cowboy Bebop is set in the year 2071, and revolves around the stories of 4 bounty hunters: Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine and Ed.

In addition to the series, there has also been an animated feature film, "Cowboy Bebop - Knockin' on Heaven's Door", released in 2001. A live action movie is currently in production by 20th Century Fox. Canadian actor Keanu Reeves has been confirmed to play the role of Spike.
